Kennedy Center for the
Performing Arts
Tours are
given from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
and 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Tours
begin on lobby level A across the gift shop.

Smithsonian Museums on
the Mall
There is no entrance fee
to any of these museums. Board the Blue or Orange line
to Foggy Bottom direction of Addison Road (Blue Line) or
New Carrolton to the Smithsonian Institution station.
There you'll fine the Air and Space Museum, American
History Museum, Natural History Museum and the Art
Gallery. Museums are open 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, everyday
but Christmas; the National Gallery, 10:00 AM to 5 PM,
and 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sundays. The Smithsonian
Museums are only 15 minute walk from the Remington. Info

Vietnam War Memorial
On 22nd St. and
Constitution Avenue, adjacent to the Lincoln Memorial.
This is within walking distance to the Remington.
World War II Memorial
On the mall and directly
in front of the Reflecting Pool and opposite side to the
Lincoln Memorial to the west and Washington Monument to
the east.
The National Zoo
Our capital has a
wonderful zoo. It is easily reachable by Metro on the
Red Line. Take the Blue or Orange Line from Farragut
West towards Addison Road (Blue Line) or New Carrolton
(Orange Line) and get off at Metro Center. Change to the
Red Line towards Shady Grove and exit at Woodley Park
Zoo station. It is open all year round and it is free.
The United States
Holocaust Museum
14th Street, just below
Independence Avenue.. Take the Blue or Orange Line to
the Smithsonian stop, from where the museum is about a
5-minute walk. Admission is free but tickets are
required and there is a limited number. They are issued
at the museum entrance beginning every day at 10:00 AM.
Tickets may be obtained in advance, for a service charge
by calling Protix at 202-488-0400. The museum is open
everyday except Yom Kippur and Christmas Day. .
The International Spy
Museum
Located at 800 F Street
NW, this is the world's first museum devoted to
international espionage. Advanced tickets can be ordered
with a $2 service charge and must be placed 48 hours in
advance. Call 202-654-0960 to order. Take the Foggy
Bottom Metro to Gallery Place (China Town Stop) and use
the 9th and G St. exit. The museum is one block south of
